Welcome to Straddie Escape

Straddie Escape, a holiday apartment hideaway, is located on North Stradbroke Island, affectionately known as "Straddie", South East Queensland, Australia.

The island is the perfect destination for those who wish to simply relax and peacefully enjoy one of Australia's finest natural treasures. North Stradbroke Island is one of the largest sand islands in the world, on the doorstep of Brisbane providing a tranquil escape.

Just one hour from the International Airport and the Brisbane city centre and an hour and a half from the Gold Coast, the island is easily accessible by fast modern water taxis from Cleveland. The more relaxed pace of the vehicular ferry is the ideal chance to spend time planning what to do when you get there.

Kilometres of white sand beaches fringe the island's eastern side and the calm water of Moreton Bay laps against the shores of the island's western fishing towns. Straddie is perfectly situated to take advantage of the fish in Moreton Bay, the surf of the Pacific Ocean and the sub-tropical climate of South-East Queensland.

Point Lookout on the eastern side of the island offers miles of white sandy beaches, excellent surfing and attractive headlands featuring breathtaking seascape views and the chance to see dolphins, turtles, sharks, manta rays and the majestic humpback whales during June to October.

As you'll discover, North Stradbroke Island is a wonderful and unique experience.
